An evening of fun, food, and friendship. As part of the year-long celebration of the 70 years of Japan-Philippines friendship, the Consulate General of Japan in Davao hosted the Madayaw Matsuri Night at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Davao City, on September 18, 2026.

At its heart, matsuri are community gatherings that bring people together to share joy, enjoy good food, and express gratitude through vibrant music and colorful performances.
The evening's festivities were livened up by the Japanese performance troupe, Chindon Kisuke.
