On it’s 48th year since its inception, the Hijos de Dabaw is still going strong. For decades now, this has been the annual social gathering the true blue Dabawenyos look forward to honoring the city’s patron saint, San Pedro, and welcoming its new members of the steadily growing Davao family.
In the tradition of the formal gathering, the Rigodon de Honor was performed by a select number of members of the organization lead by the current president, Socorro Medina-Estanislao, after welcoming this year’s muse Angela Soriano-Diano and her escort, Jiolo Velez.
Congratulations Hijos de Dabaw! And may this civic organization live on for years and continue in preserving the time-honored tradition of camaraderie among the locals and working together hand in hand in preserving and enriching Davao’s culture.
