Get into where your passion lies. This, I believe, is the key ingredient to a successful venture. What you are passionate about you are keen in absorbing whatever there is to learn about your field, hard work will become its twin, and along the way, you hone a good business sense.
Such is the case with three young sisters whose passion for fashion was turned into a lucrative enterprise simply because they know “what a girl wants”, which aptly what they labeled their “street chic” apparel and accessories with. From what started as a corner stall in Cebu in 2004, What A Girl Wants has become a fashionista’s haven of 9 boutiques in the key cities across the country, with the 10th store opening in Metro Manila this month.

Recently, WAGW Marketing Director, Jacklyn Uy, and Creative Director (and one of the country’s top fashion bloggers) Kryz Uy, launched the first annual Young Ambassadors of Style Davao at the WAGW Boutique in Abreeza Mall. Chosen were Lorenzo Rabat, Milen Aquino and Ccia Ang, “three of Davao’s most stylish and promising young personalities who epitomize the brand’s image of style, substance and youthful exuberance,” said Jacklyn.

Marianne Louise “Milen” Aquino, 20, graduated from De La Salle University majoring in BS Biology and aspires to be a successful doctor. Milen’s style: simple yet sophisticated. Style icon: Audrey Hepburn. Hobbies: traveling, dancing, reading.
Chelsea Marie “Ccia” Ang, 20, Dentistry student of Davao Medical School Foundation and future Orthodontist. Ccia’s style: simple and elegant. Style icon: Audrey Hepburn. Hobbies: cooking, baking and reading.
Lorenzo Leon “Enzo” Rabat, 21, Civil Engineering student at the De La Salle University, nature lover and “eco-warrior” who dreams of making the world a better place by promoting sustainable development. Enzo’s style: casual and easygoing. Hobbies: basketball, gym, hiking, beachcombing.
