Marks & Spencer: the next fashion flag waving soon

TIME flies. It wasn't too long ago when the Englishmen posted the Union Jack in the city by way of opening the first store of Marks & Spencer in Davao. This weekend, the British retail giant Marks & Spencer will unveil its newest store in the country as it finds a new home in Lanang, Davao City.

SM Lanang Premiere opens its doors to the second Marks & Spencer store in Davao City, on June 14th with a special preview of the brand's latest collection. The opening will feature a Fashion Show, with live mannequins donning the hottest pieces from its Summer Collection. Live Music will fill the air as guests enjoy their cocktails during the event.

Catering to the hip and trendy Davaoeños, Marks & the Spencer's newest collection features the latest pieces from Women's wear, Menswear, and Lingerie, as well as the basics from Toiletries and Food. It is never too late to pile up on summer essentials, with Davao's year long tropical fashion. Temperature rises in the sultry city of Mindanao as M&S celebrates with its latest pieces from its summer collection.

Lucille Tolentino, Merchandising Division Manager of Rustan Marketing Specialists, Inc. said, "Women's wear from Marks & Spencer brands M&S Woman, Autograph, Classic, Per una and Indigo are this season's staples as they bring stylish clothes in great value. M&S Woman embodies the season in timeless hues of brown, white, and black with a pop of red, bright blue, and greens. This collection also features tropical and tribal prints for its swim pieces. Embodying the understated, international style, the chic and sophisticated Autograph collection builds on classic staples such as blouses and jeans, in colors inspired by top summer destinations such as Panama and Indochine. Meanwhile, ladies coordinate their spring and summer wardrobe in stand-out prints and seasonal colors of blue, greens, gray, and black from the Classic. Flattering dresses in floral, staple tops in white and fuschia, in contrast with dark romantics such as violets, gray, and black make up this season's Per una collection, while Casual wear in wearable fabrics inspired by denim and ethnic inspired prints covers the Indigo collection, perfect for women who want to live the easy style on the go."

Unveiling on June 14th, Friday

"Men can definitely wear color with confidence this Summer by stocking up on this season's essentials from Blue Harbour, North Coast, and Autograph. With an update on the traditional red, blue and white, Blue Harbour is the go-to brand for pieces that embody that sporty and classic British look. On the other hand, for that casual and laid back feel, embodying the relaxed spirit of California Beach and classic America, North Coast pieces are the your surest bet to achieving the easygoing, beach lifestyle. Guys get tailored designs and slim silhouettes in signature summer feel, as Autograph delivers the luxury and fresh sophistication with the season's must-have outfits," she added.

"Stylish, comfortable, and easy to wear Marks & Spencer jeans will also be making headlines in the opening. Whether you prefer a skinny leg or a straight cut, curved hip or high-rise, Marks & Spencer has the right jeans to suit you. Gals get to choose from M&S Body Shape Denim, a new range of innovative jeans, designed with different female body types in mind. Hourglass ladies take the Marilyn. Girls with a fuller waist and slimmer hips get the Lana, as women with a small waist and curvy hips don the Eva," Ms. Tolentino excitedly shared.

Guys can choose from Marks & Spencer Outstanding Value Jeans, which offers stylish pairs without breaking the budget. Made of high-quality denim, these comfortable and stylish, regular-fit jeans are definitely a must-have.
