A media forum focusing on tourism and lifestyle topics was officially launched on February 25 at SM Lanang Premier’s The Greenery to help the tourism sector bounce back from the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and promote micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The media forum dubbed as PEP Talks was launched through the partnership of the Department of Tourism-11 (DOT-11) and SM Lanang Premier. PEP Talks stands for Personalities, Events, and Places.

The media forum will be held once a month to provide tourism and lifestyle-related updates to the media and the entire Davao Region as a whole.

On its first run, the guest speakers were DOT-11 Regional Director Tanya Tan and Deo Antojado and Niño Orteza, Directors of Zegen, who provided detailed discussions on the state of the tourism sector in Davao Region and updates on Araw ng Dabaw activities, respectively.

Meanwhile, SM Lanang Premier Assistant Mall Manager Precious Ann Legario said that SM is committed to support the communities it serves in revitalizing economic activities. This includes programs in tourism as well as those for the MSMEs.
