The Davao Hotels & Resorts Sales and Marketing Association breaks its three-year hiatus with a Midyear General Membership Meeting and Induction of Officers for 2023-2025.
Eager, inspired and sparked up – that’s how this year’s Davao Hotels & Resorts Sales and Marketing Association (HRSMA) officers and members envision things to turn out like for the hospitality industry. After three years, and considering how much the pandemic has affected the hotels and resorts, the organization is back with high hopes. Last July 10, Davao HRSMA held its Midyear GMM and Induction of officers and new members at Seda Abreeza Hotel.
A new breed of hoteliers is found in the roster of officers:
- President Liza Gamo, the Director of Sales & Marketing of Park Inn by Radission Davao
- Vice President: Francis Gevin Morales (Discovery Samal)
- Secretary: Jessica Segura (Chema’s By The Sea)
- Membership: Rayanne Patiño-Arao (Rogen Inn)
- Treasurer: Jeline Mariz Gison - Galagar (Eden Nature Park and Resort)
- Ways and Means: Ariesha Faith Dimaano (Dusit Hotels and Resorts in Davao)
- Public Relations: John Adrian Banuno (Seda Abreeza Hotel)
- Programs and Trainings : Ronan Pangramuyen (Club Samal)

In her President’s speech, Gamo shared, “Our association represents a powerful community that is at the forefront of generating revenues, and delivering excellence in sales and marketing, within the hospitality sector. Together, let us build a strong community of professionals, dedicated to excellence in the field of sales and marketing.” She also emphasized the three main goals she and the entire set of officers aspire: collaboration and knowledge amongst the members; be the forefront of innovation and trends; and support everyone’s professional growth and development.

Along with her message is the unveiling of the new Davao HRSMA logo. This new logo portrays the Philippine Eagle in green, black, and white colors, symbolizing hospitality, prosperity, and progress. These characteristics mirror the organizations’ purpose. The Philippine Eagle also best describes the core values that Davao HRSMA carries.
New members of the Davao HRSMA were also inducted during the event, namely: Rogen Inn, Villa Amparo Garden Beach Resort, Sans Hotel at Luxebridge Davao, Crown Regency Residences Davao, Bali Bali Beach Resort, Catigan Mountain Breeze Resort, and Discovery Samal.

Guests of honor for the event were DOT XI Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan represented by Joanilee Roda, City Tourism Operations Office Head Jennifer Romero and DATA President Nicole Hao Bian Ledesma. In their messages of inspiration, they expressed their support for Davao HRSMA in attaining its goals and ensured that collaborative projects for the betterment of the entire hotel and resort industry shall grow and prosper.
