Summer in Davao calls for Samal island hopping tour

Cruise the Davao Gulf and go island hopping this summer

From islands to highlands Davao has it. But perhaps the most alluring is the call of the crystal blue cool waters on a hot summer day. The beach and the exploration of the Davao Gulf’s treasures can be fun (and educational) while getting the perfect shade of tan.

Teaming up with Samal Island Tour operators are the Davao Hotels / Resorts Sales and Marketing Association, Inc. (Davao HRSMA, Inc.).

“The objective of this tour is to foster partnerships and promote collaboration between Davao City Hotels and Samal Island Hopping, a summer activity provided by local tour operators on the island. Davaoenos often choose Samal Island as a quick getaway for beach time due to its close proximity to the city, stunning beaches, and attractions,” said Liza Gamo, president of the Davao HRSMA, Inc.

In a recent Samal Island familiarization tour hosted by the Davao HRSMA, Inc. in partnership with Jiver Trans Tour, a Department of Tourism-accredited operator, the members of the organization with the media, visited the popular Samal Island attractions on board the MBCA Waling-Waling.

MBCA Waling-waling of Jiver Trans Tour has a capacity of 48 passengers plus four crew members.

Lunch on board. Catering can be arranged.

What to expect? “Samal Island offers a range of exciting activities like island hopping, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, encountering underwater creatures, diving, and more,” Liza Gamo said.
