Stockbridge American International School Concludes Junior Entrepreneurship Fair with Successful SPARK Market

Stockbridge American International School successfully concluded its Junior Entrepreneurship Fair (JEF) with the highly anticipated SPARK Market, held on April 16, 2026, at the SM Ecoland Annex Building. The event brought together students, families, and members of the wider community in a vibrant showcase of student-led businesses and innovation.

The Junior Entrepreneurship Fair is a flagship program involving students from Grades 7 to 12, designed to provide an authentic, real-world business experience. Through their Entrepreneurship and Design Innovation classes, students developed business concepts, created structured plans, and produced market-ready products and services.

Leading up to the SPARK Market, students participated in a series of preparatory experiences that strengthened their entrepreneurial skills. A Business Mentorship Program, facilitated by local entrepreneurs and industry professionals, provided students with valuable coaching and real-world insights to refine their business ideas. This was followed by a Business Pitching Competition, where selected student groups presented their ventures before a panel of industry experts, receiving constructive feedback and evaluation.

These experiences culminated in the SPARK Market, where students officially launched their products and engaged directly with customers in a live marketplace setting. The event featured a wide range of student-created offerings, including handmade crafts, food products, and innovative concepts tailored to real market needs.

In addition to the marketplace, attendees enjoyed FREE interactive activities throughout the day, creating a dynamic and engaging environment for families and visitors. The event not only highlighted student creativity and enterprise but also fostered a strong sense of community support for young entrepreneurs.

“This program reflects our commitment to experiential learning,” said Dyan Bian-Cortez, Director for International Programs. “By engaging with mentors, presenting to industry panelists, and operating real businesses, our students gain the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to succeed in the future.”

Guided by its mission of Educating Young Business Leaders, Stockbridge American International School continues to provide meaningful opportunities for students to apply their learning in authentic contexts, preparing them to become innovative and responsible contributors to society.
