Durian, durian at marami pang iba! The Kadayawan Durian Festival opens at SM Lanang Premier

What's your favorite Durian variety?

Aaaand it's back! Two years is a long time to wait to feast on the "King of Fruits" during the "King of Festivals." Although the durian didn't stop falling off the tree and landed on our tables in the past couple of years, it's a totally different experience when you feast on it outdoors, in company of friends at the grandest festival in the city.

Back after 2 years, the Kdayawan Durian Festival at SM Lanang Premier

The month-long event which opened on August 12, the Kadayawan Durian Festival opened at the SM Lanang Premier. The durian may be the highlight of the expo, but it shares the limelight with the rest of the fruits Davao is known for-- pomelo, rambutan, lanzones, mangosteen and marang.

Isn't it sweet to live in Davao?

In Davao, when we say "majestic peak," it's not only the Mt. Apo, we also mean the piles our fruits form.

The festival is organized by the Department of Agriculture (DA), in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), the Davao City Agriculturist's Office (CAGRO), the Durian Industry Association of Davao City (DIADC), and SM Lanang Premier .
