In a bid to showcase the diverse tourism destinations and experiences in Davao City, travel agents in Davao Region have prepared exciting tours for MiceCon 2023 delegates.
Delegates of the three-day conference, slated March 1 to 3, will be given the chance to explore Davao Region from reef to ridges and urban to nature.
From March 1 to 3, the city’s travel agents have prepared a tour package that will allow the delegates to get to know Davao City.
The city tour package will take delegates to the Peoples Park, Davao City Hall, CM Recto St., San Pedro St., San Pedro Church, Magsaysay Park, Lola Abon’s Davao Delicacies, Poblacion Market Central, and the Davao City Library. Each location holds a rich history that gives tour participants a glimpse of “who” Davao City is.

There is also the shopping tour, which takes delegates to Poblacion Market Central, one of the city’s prime shopping centers for souvenirs. The tour also includes a visit to the city’s fruit market, which highlights the bountiful harvests of Davao City and the Davao Region.
But for those who want a more relaxed experience, they can opt to have lunch at either of the two of the city’s prime eco-tourism sites – Eden Nature Nature Park and Resort in Toril or the Malagos Garden Resort.
Meanwhile, the bigger tour packages are slated right after the conference from March 4 to 6. These three-day packages include a visit to some of the region’s MICE facilities and venues.
One tour package will bring delegates to Davao de Oro and around Davao City. This package will include a visit to DusitD2 Hotel Davao, Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, and Seda Abreeza Hotel. It also includes a trip to the Eden Nature Nature Park and Resort and the Malagos Garden Resort. For the Davao de Oro part of the tour, delegates will be brought to Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort. Delegates will also have the chance to know more about the city as they visit the National Museum - Davao. The tour caps off with a sumptuous meal at Marina Tuna.
The second tour package will give the delegates the “highlands to islands” experience as they visit Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur. In Davao del Norte, the delegate’s first stop will be Panabo City, which is the next city after Davao City, the tour brings its participants to Agriya, an agri-township with agri-tourism attractions. After, they will next visit Tagum City where guests are taken to Hijos Resorts Davao and the Tagum City Historical Cultural Center. Delegarte will then enjoy a delicious meal at Seda Abreeza Hotel before the next part of the tour, which is Davao del Sur.
In Davao del Sur they will be accommodated at the Big 8 Corporate Hotel in Digos City. Delegates will also visit Kapatagan where they will be having lunch and enjoying some activities at the Apo Flower Garden Mountain Resort. An ocular tour of the MICE facilities of Big 8 Corporate Hotel and the Davao del Sur Sports Complex will also be organized. The last day of this package brings guests back to Davao City where they will visit the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao before their flights to their respective destinations.
Lastly, the final tour package will bring guests to Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental. In Davao de Oro, guests will visit Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort where they will be given a tour of the resort’s MICE facilities. In Davao del Norte, it will be a visit to Hijos Resort Davao where they will have lunch and tour its facilities. The biggest chunk of this package will be in Davao Oriental where guests will be taken to the Mt. Hamiguitan Natural Science Museum, Kagan Cafe, El Don Resort, and Cape San Agustin.

In all the three-day tours, guests will not have to worry about where to buy some of their souvenirs as they will be taken to Poblacion Market Central. This shopping center offers a variety of locally-made products that will be great pasalubong or souvenir items that they can bring back to their hometowns.
As jampacked as the MiceCon 2023 will be, the tour packages prepared by the region’s travel agents are too. These packages will definitely highlight some of the things Davao City and Davao Region has to offer as Mindanao’s MICE hub. #
