This Lunar New Year, make Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao your destination for a celebration that blends tradition, flavor, and unforgettable experiences.
The hotel kicked off its celebration on the eve of the Chinese New Year Eve. Bryan Yves Lasala, Waterfront's hotel manager, greeted guests at the gathering.
"A warm welcome to Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao’s Chinese New Year celebration. It is truly a privilege to celebrate this meaningful occasion with all of you. Chinese New Year is a time to honor traditions, celebrate family, and look ahead with hope. It’s a season for reflection, for expressing gratitude, and for welcoming opportunities that bring prosperity and joy. Tonight, we celebrate not only these traditions but also the strength of our shared connections as a community. Here at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, we take pride in being part of this festive occasion. To make it special, we have prepared a delightful array of experiences for you."
Building the excitement, the auspicious Dotting of Eye, the Lion Dance, offering of fruits and Yee Sang (Prosperity Toss) ceremonies were observed.

The sumptuous spread completes the celebration. At Cafe Uno, a hearty Chinese-themed feast was served. Chef Gilbert Banday whipped up a flavorful spread that counted the Peking Duck, tender Roast Beef, and steamed crabs among the many dishes. While the dessert selections showcased the hotel's bestsellers and the season's must-eat of Tikoy, Pastry Chef Roche Audeji departed from tradition and came up with sweet surprises like a coffee and tea flavored buchis. Fortune cookies? Pick one from the bowl and find out what's ahead of you in the Year of the Snake.
