The moon’s gravitational pull on our planet may caused changes in the alignment of the stars and altering our Zodiac signs (plus throwing back in the 13th sign-Ophiuchus- which was originally there in the first place not too long back -about 2500 years ago- but our elders, the ancient Babylonians, wanted only twelve and threw out the Snake Holder) but there is no stopping the Rabbit, No. 4 in the cycle of twelve, from hopping in on time. Tardiness is never an excuse for the Chinese Zodiac animal family. After all, they only get the chance to step in the limelight every twelve years.
The charms will dangle, firecrackers will pop, the dragon will dance and the red carpet will roll out for the Rabbit wielding his metal cymbals (or is it he that’s made of metal?) on the eve of February 3rd.

Blessing of harmony, order & unity |
The Rabbit is known to be calm and gentle but persistent, sympathetic, wise and dependable, tactful and considerate, but very cautious in dealing with others that they make sure to take time to sniff before making their move- either to hop into a transaction with an upper hand or, fold and bolt when danger is perceived or intuition tells them to. Shrewd you can call it, but this proves to be the winning strategy in business or personal relationships.
Romantically, they are noncommittal until they are sure. And when they decide to settle, expect nothing less than the sweetest partner on the face of the planet. Tell me, who doesn’t want to “own” a Rabbit?
The Rabbit comes bearing good fortune to those compatible to him- the Sheep, Dog and Pig- and to a fellow Rabbit, Tiger or Dragon (lucky me! again!) with Wood as their Lucky Element (2011 is the second year and the peak time of Wood Cycle). The year will be smiling upon these bunch and inspiring them to greater professional success and personal happiness.
Hip Hopster in Chinoiserie |
The positivity of the Rabbit shines brightly in 2011 spotlighting the family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy and keeping the (world) peace with a starry gaze on love and romance. It’s a refreshing and calmer time than last year. The global scene will sprout creative new business partnerships will be very beneficial for all. Overall, it should be a fun and relatively peaceful year and I am looking forward to that.
Back on the list- Ophiuchus, The Snake Bearer. The 13th sign. |
Browsing through the character list of my newly assigned one and only non-animal horoscope sign- diplomacy, grace, dislike for fashion victims- makes me a clear picture of its opposite. I can share their self-indulgent and flirtatious traits though and it stops there.
However, the Scorpios are loyal, passionate, vindictive, jealous and obsessive, and these, I truly am. I guess I have to stick to what I do best, a perennially lucky (I claim it, so should you) Dragon and a stinging scorpion.
What's in store for me & the Dragons

The Metal Rabbit is on my side this year. |
Plus: Magnanimous, stately, vigorous, strong, self-assured, proud, noble, direct, dignified, zealous, eccentric, intellectual, fiery, passionate, decisive, pioneering, ambitious, artistic, generous, loyal.
Minus: Can be tactless, arrogant, imperious, tyrannical, demanding, intolerant, dogmatic, violent, impetuous, brash.
This is a successful year for Dragons. However, they have to take preventive measures to avoid unexpected problems that might happen. They should make use of this year to carry out their new projects with great planning.
Financially, Dragons will have better luck in money affairs, and it is promising. They will have satisfactory income from their investments and hard work.
On love affairs, Dragons should not expect too much in romance this year. On the other hand, Single lady will have better luck than Male in love affair. They will have the chance to meet their dream lovers.
On health, Dragons tend to be absent minded because of the appearance of the antagonistic stars.
