MACARONS ala Booboo Maramba
Davao's confectionery queen does it again!
It was the perfect ending to a birthday dinner, co-celebrated with Monette Cutler. The presents we handed them cannot compare to what Booboo gifted her guests with- her beautifully-colored confectionery made out of egg whites, almond powder and sugar we all love - the macarons.
It's that lovely button-like dessert the French is identified with. The range of flavors the "sandwich" buttermilk filling can have are endless- from pistachio to chocolate, from green tea to lemon, and so much more.
Not-aware-of-why-she-is-Davao's-dessert-queen Booboo localized her flavored fillings. She whipped up the ube and the mangosteen flavors. Ingenious!
The moment the colored polka dots on the silver tray were served, everyone popped the melt-in-your-mouth delectables like Chippy (as per Anavi L.). Oh well, nobody was on a diet, or so it seemed.
Merci beaucoup Booboo, it was like a quick trip back to Paris (et Laduree)! C'est si bon!
