The heart of Davao is beating at the Marco Polo



Recently, Marco Polo Davao unveiled its Heart of Davao exhibition, a visual display of everything beautiful and exciting about Davao-- handicrafts, fashion and photographs capturing the everyday life in this Southern city.

Opening the event was a fashion show that featured the collections of Davao's young designers to watch out for, all groomed by the PWC Fashion Design Program.

The Camera Club of Davao once again exhibited their expertise in freezing the pulses of the city in frames.

Exhibited in areas are Mindanaoan handicrafts translated into home decor and fashion accessories.

The Davao beat was beating at the Cafe Marco as well. Newly appointed Executive Sous Chef, Alex Destriza, worked is magic in creating culinary pieces that translates the beauty of Davao in flavors.

The 37-year old Chef was part of the hotel team during his formative years from 1998-2004 before leaving to work in Ireland for a year, where he received an opportunity to embrace and adapt to a new culinary culture. Before returning to MPD, he worked with The Peninusla Manila from 2006-2015.
