The girl known as Victoria Cancio has gone a long way

“I was born Victoria Cancio” was on the first slide of the host’s spiel. It was one of the stories the she shared when she met the Davao media press in her recent visit to the city. The personal narrative went on—more on her family life, where she studied, why she chose to become a doctor and how she earned the degree, how she started her practice before becoming the aesthetician she became to be—a famous one at that.

Dr. Vicki Belo gets personal with Davao media

Who hasn’t heard of Dr. Vicky Belo? Yep, she’s famous. Once the noun is turned into a verb synonymous to an adjective, it’s a sign the name has made it to the top. It can swing both ways though, but in the case of Vicky Belo, to be Belofied meant one has been tapped by the doctor’s wand and turned beautiful. Margie Moran-Floirendo is a Belo woman and so is Piolo Pascual, the famous male counterpart, just two of the many personalities of celebrity status in the doctor’s pool of endorsers amassed throughout her career—and the “family” is growing. Clearly this is one of the best marketing moves that catapulted her to fame.

But to be the top aesthetic dermatology and cosmetic surgicenter in the country, a good marketing strategy must be supported by an even better service. When it comes to medical service, trust is an operative word. Belo boast of her team of internationally-trained doctors and aestheticians. Much more, “Experience is on our side,” said Belo, who shared that she has handled countless medical procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. She is just one of the many reliable and experienced doctors in in her team. Trust, twenty-five years in the business would account for it.

A milestone for Belo- 25 years in the business.

The “wand,” she created one for Davao. The Belo Davao is the first in city and Mindanao. “Our passion and commitment to making people look and feel beautiful has brought us here in Davao,” said the founder, Dr. Vicki Belo.

If you’re a at regular Abreeza Mall, then chances are you’ve seen the clinic at the mall’s second level. It opened in early this year in February. Since then, it has received a very strong support from the locals, new clients or perhaps Belo followers who have regularly patronized its products and treatments.

To formally inaugurate two milestones, the opening of Belo Davao and the 25th year of the Belo Medical Group, a Festivale was created. The celebratory drumbeats were heard for four days with Belo Medical Group showcasing its brand story, products and treatments, and the presentation of two of their brand ambassadors.

A grand celebration.

“We wanted to show our thanks to all Davaoenos that have been very supportive of Belo. As we celebrate 25 years in the industry, we are geared to bring in more products and services for people to enjoy. Beauty is personal so we would like to ensure that your beauty experience with Belo is truly exceptional.” said the Managing Director of Belo Medical Group, Cristalle Henares.
