THE king of the Philippine skies, the Cheese Queen and the world-class, award-winning chocolate— it’s all for one and one for all, that’s how it is for Seda Abreeza on this Kadayawan month of 2016.
With all eyes in Davao City, Seda Abreeza brings in a big blast of offerings in this year’s Kadayawan Festival celebration. The urban lifestyle hotel sums up its August promotions and dubs it as “Discover the Best of Davao.” This includes: Best Stays, Best Dining Experience, and Best Concoctions.

“This is our way of delighting not only the Dabawenyos, but those who visit Davao and see what it has to offer. This is our way of participating in this year’s very exciting Kadayawan season,” said the Seda General Manager Ken Kapulong at the dinner affair launching the Best of Davao partnerships.

Best Stays
“We thought of putting our partnership with Philippine Eagle Foundation on another level, this time tying up with the entire Seda Hotel chain in the conservation mission. We are adopting PEF’s bird ambassadors,” Kapulong said.
Seda Hotels is granting a cash donation of P100,000 to fund the food and veterinary care of the five PEF bird ambassadors: Hali-a, a Brahminy Kite; Kuli, a male Philippine Serpent Eagle; Lali, a Pinsker’s Hawk Eagle; Silim, a female Minadano lowland Scops Owl; and Asul, a male white-bellied sea eagle.

Guests who will avail the Best Available Rates from July to September 2016 will get the chance to help in the conservation mission, whichever Seda Hotel they are checking in.
This initiative is for the benefit of the Bird Ambassadors in the Philippine Eagle Center, which are often presented in the organization’s Keeper Talks – part of the center’s information and education drives. As a chain, one of the center’s preserved eagle, “Diola” is also back in the Seda Abreeza hotel lobby to further raise awareness and learning to guests who come and stay at the hotel.
“As one of the leading hotel chains in the country, this partnership will serve as a strategic avenue for us to strengthen educational campaigns on the foundation’s conservation mission,” said PEF Executive Director Dennis Salvador.

At Misto, Sous Chef Bang Flores said, “I am diverting from the traditional ingredients and recipes and prepare something different on the Kadayawan spread. It will highlight the other bountiful ingredients of Davao and tweak the preparation to excite the palate.”
