Seda Abreeza will undergo property enhancements from January to July 2025 to elevate the guest experience and effectively cater to the diverse needs of its increasing clientele |
Ayala Land Hospitality has announced a renovation of Seda Abreeza, scheduled from January to July 2025. This project will necessitate a complete closure of the hotel for the entire six-month duration, enabling substantial upgrades and enhancements to the property, which has proudly welcomed guests for 11 years.
President and Chief Executive Officer George Aquino states, “We are thrilled about this modernization initiative, which underscores our dedication to continuously improving the guest experience and ensuring that our hotel remains a top choice in Davao City. The project is closely aligned with the rapid growth of the city’s tourism sector, anticipated to expand further in 2025. As the city gears up to welcome more business and leisure travelers, this initiative positions our hotel to effectively cater to the diverse needs of an increasing clientele.”
The hotel-wide renovation will revamp Seda Abreeza’s guestrooms with a more contemporary design, and include the introduction of Suites designed for travelers who appreciate extra space for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Seda’s Mindanao Cluster General Manager Joy Barleta remarks, “The refreshed aesthetic will retain the Seda brand’s signature minimalist style and incorporate lighter color palettes. These will be complemented by vibrant accents, fostering a more uplifting and inviting atmosphere.”
She highlights the addition of a stand-alone bar which will serve as the ultimate destination for guests to unwind after a long day of work or to savor a leisurely evening with friends and colleagues. “The bar promises to be a vibrant hub for relaxation and socializing, enhancing the overall guest experience in our hotel,” she states.
The renovation represents a pivotal moment in the hotel's history. The President and CEO comments, “As one of the first four properties in the brand specifically designed to meet the essential needs of business travelers, Seda Abreeza has successfully carved out its niche in the market. The increasing demand for our services has driven us to enhance our amenities to better serve our guests.”
A select team will remain on-site during the renovation, including staff from Sales and Reservations who will be available to respond to client inquiries. Additionally, members from Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security will be present to ensure the ongoing maintenance and safety of the premises. This dedicated team is committed to providing exceptional service and support during the renovation, ensuring that guest needs are met seamlessly.
Barleta adds, “Some employees will be temporarily assigned to other hotels for training and to help with daily operations. This offers an excellent opportunity for them to gain valuable insights into operations in other major cities like Manila and Cebu. This experience will also facilitate the sharing of best practices across all our locations.”
The hotel will provide regular updates regarding the availability of facilities and amenities, enabling guests to make timely bookings for future stays or events in anticipation of Seda Abreeza’s reopening in July 2025.
