A couple of years after the Starmobile’s first flagship store in Mindanao opened at the Gaisano Mall in this city, a new look for the concept store was re-launched. Now sporting bursts of bright red, the vibe of the new Starmobile store is more vibrant, and happier, characteristics that that best illustrates the mobile phone brand.

During the Technology & Gadgets Fair of the citywide Big Davao Fun Sale in Gaisano Mall, the “Davao-born star” (the very first Starmobile mobile phone was sold here in Davao in 2011) celebrated the Starmobile Day by formally re-opening its concept store with celebrity endorser, Vice Ganda, as its guest of honor.

The opening drew in a massive crowd of shoppers all eager to see Vice and take advantage of the weeklong Starmobile Sale—the Go from Old School to All Cool promotion— which offered huge discounts on a wide selection of tablets.

The celebration continued with the star performing in a mini-concert at the atrium of the mall. Followers of the brand and fans of the celebrity (Vice fondly calls them “little ponies”) swarmed the venue from the ground to five floors up.
